Principal Surface Water Engineer

Environmental Hydrology Associates (EHA Pty Ltd) is a water engineering and science consulting company dedicated to the fostering of innovative and responsible water related development and management. We provide personalised, specialist technical services and advice to industry, government agencies, the engineering consulting profession and community groups with key focuses on sustainable water use and the interaction between surface water, groundwater and the environment.. We place an emphasis on numerical modelling of hydrological systems and embrace geographical information systems

We are a group of leading professionals who will take on any hydrological project and deliver practical outcomes. Currently, we are looking for a dedicated Principal Surface Water Engineer to join our team based in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

In this role your key areas of responsibility will be:

  • Preparing and analysing surface water hydraulic models such as MIKE11, MIKE21, HEC-RAS
  • Preparing and analysing surface water hydrologic models such as RORB, XPRAFTS, XPSTORM etc
  • Preparing and analysing surface water quality / pollutant export models such as MUSIC, EMSS
  • Managing projects and delivering reliable outcomes for clients within commercial time and budget constraints
  • Supervising, mentoring and developing more junior engineering staff
  • You are right for this role if you:
  • Hold a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with additional relevant post-graduate qualifications in Engineering (Master’s level qualifications would be beneficial)
  • Posses a minimum of 10 years relevant post-graduate experience in surface water development, preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Are a member Engineers Australia.

Registration as a professional engineer in Queensland is preferred but not required.
